Study Abroad- Galway {Day 3}

4:54 PM

Classes started for us today (above is a pic of my school...no joke, its amazing!!) . We had an orientation at 9am followed by our first lectures for the two classes we choose. I am taking Irish Society and Representing Ireland through Literature and Film. Both of my classes happen to be back to back (even though the schedule here is very different and completely random). So I was done with class by 1. Cam and I walked from school to the city to get some random things we needed like hangers, pillows, and a blanket. Just random things that will make living here a little more homey even though they are very nice.

After this I came back to the apartment for a little while Cam had class. I then headed to school to meet everyone for a welcome reception. There is a student bar on campus and NUIG and everyone was given 2 free drink vouchers (holla!). We spent a couple of hours hanging out here. It is so so cool. I will be sure to take pictures and post when I go back!

After this, a group of us stopped by the store and really grocery shopped to get stuff for lunches and dinners for the next week.

On Monday, when Mack and I parted ways, I definitely had an oh shit moment where I questioned whether I really was going to be okay doing this thing on my own. I can honestly say without a doubt that I already know studying here in Galway was the absolute best decision I could have ever made. The people are awesome, the experience is so unique and I am already making so many memories. I can't wait for the weeks ahead.
