Edinburgh {Day 3}

4:24 PM

Saturday night we decided to hit the clubs because why not when you're in Scotland and it's your last night to do something crazy.

I was hesitant to go, not gonna lie, but Mack agreed we would be home by 1 and so we went. We had a few drinks at The Raeburn which is a garden bar our host suggested and then had Hurricanes at the Hard Rock Cafe before making our way to Why Not Nightclub (which our host also recommended). We got there around 11 or so, got some drinks and went to the dance floor. We literally danced the night away and stayed until 2 because we were both having so much fun. They played music we knew and didn't have a care in the world about dancing like fools considering we would never see those people again. It was interesting how the locals dressed- the girls were in tight, formal dresses and pumps and the guys were in either tux or kilts. So we were really underdressed but we didn't even care! Thank goodness Mack convinced me to go because it was a blast and a highlight in Edinburgh. We both wanted to go the next night too but they're only open every other night haha.

We did have to get up at 6:30 the next morning to go to our 12 hour day trip
we had planned earlier in the week. While we were tired, it honestly wasn't too bad because a lot of the day trip we spent driving. 9 of the 12 hours were driving. There was a one hour stop at a chippy and a 1.5 hour stop for the Loch Ness cruise which we didn't go on because it wasn't included in our day trip and we didn't have any cash left to buy tickets since they wouldn't accept cards, so we had to stay in the hotel. Kind of a buzz kill, but it was rainy and cold anyway so we were okay with it. The other 30 minutes comprised of stops at random locations with beautiful views. Ultimately, I wouldn't do this exact trip again... it was so much driving for so little sight seeing. But I do think it was cool to see the country side, the highlands and the sheep!!

When we got home around 9pm, we ordered pizza for dinner because it was our last night together and we had a lot to pack and prepare for the next morning.
