Amsterdam {Day 1}

1:34 PM

We flew out of Berlin at 7am this morning and arrived in Amsterdam by 8:30am. After hanging around the airport and figuring out our best options for transportation, we purchased a three day travel pass and boarded the train to go to a tram station. After a train, tram and another tram, we made it to our apartment for the next few days which is not too far from the airport and very close to city center.

After arriving at our place, we decided to try to get some rest because we had been up since 3am. After this, we woke up and decided to walk around near our place. There are so many places to eat and shop, and there even is a grocery store just down the street. We bought some food for dinner, lunches and alcohol to try and then came back to our place to cook dinner.

It is so beautiful here. We are both excited to explore the city and places around our apartment. We don't have too much planned for the next couple days besides a tour at the Anne Frank House, a canal tour and seeing the Red Light District. Besides that we plan to shop, stop in some local bars and walk around the city. It should be a fun couple of days!

  1. Amsterdam is one of my favorite cities in the world! Talk to the locals and see what they recommend. English is not the issue there as they love Americans.Delft blue and white souvenirs are recommended if Delft itself is not on your itinerary.Enjoy!!! You can't go wrong in Amsterdam!
